I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Twente, contributing to the WP2 of the MISD project (part of the 8ra initiative), where we develop solutions to improve the sustainability of datacenters. I completed my PhD in Computer Science at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in October 2024. I am also actively involved in teaching, contributing to BSc and MSc courses. My teaching experience includes Cloud Networking, Computer Networks, and Computer Structure. My research interests span the sustainability of datacenters and communication networks, wireless systems, and edge computing.
In my free time I enjoy travelling✈️ around Europe 🇪🇺 with my camera📷.

Researcher in orchestration algorithms for sustainable datacentres for WP2 at the MISD project. MISD is the largest of the 3 Dutch projects to which the government has allocated 70 million in funding under the umbrella of the European IPCEI-CIS program. I received funding from 4TU-NIRICT for the project AGORA-6G, that aims to improve the reproducibility of B5G testbeds.
I worked in the development of experimental testbeds and tools for the evaluation of 5G and Wi-Fi networks with MEC capabilities. I gained experience working with USRPs, OpenAirInterface, srsRAN and IaC. I also was in charge of teaching the full Computer Networks course in the BSc in Computer Science.
I was awarded with a PhD fellowship from the R&D plan of the University of Castilla-La Mancha funded by the European Social Fund. In my thesis I made contributions to the performance and energy footprint of Wi-Fi and 5G networks, with a focus on multimedia applications. I gained experience with experimental testbeds and simulation, including NS-3 and the development of my own simulator, called MintEDGE which you can find here↗. During this period I also had a research visit at the University of Twente.
Developed a user association scheme for Wi-Fi networks for improved resource allocation. The scheme was implemented in the platform 5G-EmPOWER and evaluated in a real testbed.
Assisted in the research of Docker and Kubernetes overhead on resource constrained devices.

Teaching Assistant for the Wireless Communications track of the Cyberphysical Systems module. Responsibilities included conducting project related sessions, assisting students with their projects and holding office hours.
Lecturer for the complete Computer Networks course. Responsibilities included delivering all lectures in the course, conducting all lab sessions, assisting students with practical exercises, preparing and grading exams and projects, and holding office hours.
Teaching Assistant for the Computer Networks course. Responsibilities included conducting lab sessions and assisting students with practical exercises and invigilating exams.
Teaching Assistant for the Computer Structure course. Responsibilities included conducting lab sessions, assisting students with practical exercises, invigilating exams and having tutorials for international students.
